This was a VERY random production that I decided to do the weekend before finals. I just put the camera on a high chair and recorded myself doing this in one take. Amazingly, I managed not to crack up throughout the whole video even though there is like... NO music in the raw clip. It was awesome.

DBSK - The Way U Are
This video was actually finished a couple weeks ago before Paul left for
Taiwan, but we never got around to releasing it until now.
I actually chose this song, because I recently saw this music video of "SM town - Hotmail" and I saw a group of guys in there that I didn't recognize from the standard 'SM town' people like Kangta or Boa or so. That led me to discover their group, called DBSK, which is pretty similar to the old H.O.T. except they are much younger and pretty popular right now.
During this music video's "story," there are actually 4 different scenes going on. Hopefully you will be able to get what is actually happening in each of them. We tried to make it pretty obvious lol.
Ah yes, we are
expanding our audience beyond Chinese and English viewers. Of course, we
had to take intense Korean classes to be able to speak/sing that well.
Its almost as if we sounded exactly like DBSK. The
Korean lyrics are provided on the bottom.
And of course, special thanks goes out to Han Pham, for being the special guest star in this video. You were awesome. Next time we'll play pool/poker/race/'steal wallet' for REALS. =P

Toya - Moving On
Yes… believe it or not… it took quite an effort to find the PERFECT girl for this video ^_~. It required the most “acting” (so to speak) compared to all the other Chai Productions we have done in the past. Thus, I would like to take this chance to applaud and thank Tina for her Oscar worthy performance in this video. =D
“This is one of our favorite productions so far this year.” said Ebert and Roeper as they wiped their tears away after the film… they later additionally noted how our “Chai – Moving On’s opening credit sequence, during which the pretty calligraphic letters introduced such memorable characters such as Tina Wang, was the first of the film’s many charms”.
*sigh*… what an honor to get such praise ^_~
Haha anyways, for my own reference, I would just like to chart out the timetable for this video productions
End of May – I discovered the song through someone’s xanga… and decided that this music was PERFECT for this MV.
June 7th – Casting complete… storyline done! Date to film set =D.
June 11/12th – Recording and Editing of the MV
- Filming: 9am – 1:30 pm
- Capturing/Editing: 3:00pm – 1:00am
June 13th – MV finalized.
But ya, this was the first “sad/love” music video we ever done. Hope you all enjoy it =)

So... we realized since it is hard to decipher everything we are saying because of the great complexity of our professional English/Chinese lyric mixing skills, and since we know that you guys are just DYING to sing/rap along with us, we have included a KTV VERSION the music video WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!
SPECIAL thanks to JASMINE for helping us type out the Chinese text. Without you, the music video would have pinyin or something lol.

Ah yes... it took a few days to finish this music video, but IT WAS WORTH IT! Here's the chronological order of how we went through with this production:
Day 1 (late april) - Tony and
I made up our lyrics dat one late night...
took two hours ^_~ (side note... tony called me from uci while i was at
the dental office yelling with excitement over the phone and rappin his
new thought lyrics bout boba green milk tea... i was like... "dude...
WAY ahead of u man... wayyyy ahead of u" LOL")
Day 2 (first week of may) - went to Rowlands TWICE on the same day to
get the instrumental version of Will Pan - Tell me. itz ok though...
this kawaii grl offered us FREE drinks!!!!!!!!
Day 3 (the day after) - started doing a rough recording of the song
Day 4 (a week later) - recorded on the new blue snowball microphone
(yess.... goin all professional haha)
Day 5 (the day after) - recorded music video scenes with just Tony...
omg it was so tiring.
Day 6 (5/13/06) - recorded music video scenes with Emily as well...
lol... AND.... editing... AND... bloopers.... w-o-w... crazy day!
good job on the video Emily!!!!!!!!! wow, u were seriously the
perfect person for the video! who's dat
stupid Jill in Will's video... psh... u should be the one singing and
dancin with Will Pan!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Come to think of it... this video is the most "original" Chai Productions yet.... the rap is from us... the instrumental version was extracted from us.... the recording was from us... and the casting was us!!!!! this video has a lot of "Chai flavor" to it too.... if you read the lyrics closely... it sort of "defines" our Asian Irvine life.
